BASICS OF CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING
CFMA’s Basics of Construction Accounting course is designed for accounting professionals new to the construction industry, as well as non-accounting construction industry professionals who want or need a better understanding of construction accounting processes, construction cost management systems job costs and job cost reporting, the WIP, and the most important elements of a contractor’s financial statements. This full day program provides an introduction to the key processes and practices that make construction accounting unique.

Clint Freeman is a tax engagement director in the CLA tax group. He has more than 21 years of public accounting experience and is responsible for planning, the performance of tax engagements, and the supervision of tax engagement staff.
CFO, Loupin Construction
Amy has more than 20 years in accounting and finance and serves in this capacity for Loupin Construction, which she founded along with her husband, Stephen Loupin, in 2010. She began her career working at Deloitte, as an auditor, and then moved into the construction management field working as the Director of Finance and Accounting at an industry leading home builder. It was here that she learned the intricacies of working on the financial side of construction.
Audit Senior, Forehand & Associates
Jason is an Audit Senior with Forehand & Associates, P.A. in Orlando, Florida. Jason focuses on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance and accounting function of privately held construction companies. He also consults and advises companies on IT and cyber security related issues. Jason is also a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), and an Associate of ISC2.
